WHAT IS RALEIGH M.A.I.N. EVENTS?
The Raleigh M.A.I.N. Events, an Innovate Raleigh initiative, comprise a month of music, art, innovation and NOISE.
The beauty of M.A.I.N. Events is that most of these great events have been going on. We’ve just never let the world know. Now we’re collaborating to promote all the cool things going on in Raleigh this September. (OK, part of August and October as well. So let’s just say Septemberish).
Spread the word and join in (Special thanks to Fairway Outdoor Advertising for promoting the events-filled month along with us, too.). Check out the calendar of events and click on the links to buy tickets. Help us celebrate art, culture and brain power. And enjoy the NOISE. You can sleep later.
From Hopscotch to the IBMA Bluegrass festival, Raleigh has more live music than anywhere else in North Carolina. Open-air amphitheaters, music halls and great clubs make us a Mecca for Music Mania in September.
SparkCon is Raleigh’s weekend-long celebration of creativity in all its forms, but every day of the month is rich with galleries, art shows and a lively First Friday. And don’t forget about the Contemporary Art Museum and the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Here in Raleigh, the brain’s the thing. We’re among the nation’s top cities for entrepreneurs and patent rates, and an unparalleled hot spot for technology and invention. September will showcase all this with forums where great minds can gather.
Hear our buzz? Like the teeth-rattling tenor of Harley-Davidson’s BikeFest or the rocking throb of our Hopscotch Festival. But the sound surrounding each is the thrilling buzz of a city that’s alive with events and fun all month.
